The Arizona high school basketball postseason has reached the Elite Eight, and quarterfinal matchups across the state are now set to determine who moves on to the Final Four.

In the 6A bracket, several marquee games headline the round. Sunnyslope vs. Basha stands out as one of the most anticipated matchups, featuring two programs known for defensive pressure and playoff experience. Meanwhile, Millennium vs. Perry brings together two teams with strong guard play and balanced scoring, setting up what could be one of the most competitive games of the round.

Elsewhere in 6A play, Mesa vs. Brophy gives the Jackrabbits a chance to test themselves against one of the state’s most consistent postseason programs, while Hamilton vs. O’Connor features two teams that survived tight earlier-round games and now look to extend their runs.

In 5A, quarterfinal action includes Apollo vs. Ironwood, a matchup between two teams that leaned on defense to advance, while Highland vs. Sunrise Mountain pairs contrasting styles — Highland’s structured half-court offense against Sunrise Mountain’s tempo and perimeter scoring.

The Open Division bracket also reaches its quarterfinal stage, where several of the state’s top teams across classifications collide in win-or-go-home matchups that often feel like championship games themselves.

At this point in the postseason, talent alone isn’t enough. Possessions slow down, rotations tighten, and late-game execution becomes everything.

By the end of this round, Arizona basketball will be down to its Final Four — and the championship picture will be clear.
