Hamilton High School softball delivered one of the most dominant performances in Arizona high school softball this week, defeating Williams Field 24-2 in a lopsided victory in Chandler.
The Huskies’ offense was relentless from the opening inning, putting pressure on the Williams Field pitching staff and consistently finding ways to get runners on base. Hamilton’s lineup produced hits throughout the order, quickly turning the game into a high-scoring affair.
One of the standout performances came from Amanda Benites, who had a perfect day at the plate. Benites finished 2-for-2 with a home run, three runs scored, and three RBIs, helping spark Hamilton’s offensive surge.
Taylor Hampton also played a major role in the win, going 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, and two runs scored. Her extra-base power helped keep the momentum firmly on Hamilton’s side as the Huskies continued to build their lead.
Hamilton’s pitching and defense backed up the offensive explosion by limiting Williams Field to just two runs. The Huskies consistently controlled the game defensively, preventing the Black Hawks from putting together any sustained scoring threats.
The win marked Hamilton’s second straight victory to open the season. Earlier in the week, the Huskies also secured a 12-0 shutout over Mountain Ridge, giving the team a combined 36 runs scored and only two runs allowed through the first two games of the year.
With explosive hitting, strong pitching, and depth throughout the lineup, Hamilton is showing early signs of being a team to watch in the Arizona 6A softball landscape this season.
